# Always on the lapel

## What

Delta pin (and badges)

## When

Since the 1970s

## Where

Where there are little deltas

In Campo Maior it is a regular presence, on one lapel and then the next. Across the rest of the country (and the world) it appears often, in departments everywhere. The Delta pin identifies those who belong to the universe of [Grupo Nabeiro](http://gruponabeiro.com/) and, although wearing it is not a formal requirement in any area of the group, many of its more than 3,500 employees wear it with pride.

The story of this object is more than 40 years old. It first appeared as Deltinha – the friendly coffee bean that is the Delta mascot. At the time, Rui Nabeiro himself, the founder of the company, adopted this symbol and wore it on his chest wherever he went. The trend spread quickly and, among the sales staff, the pin began to be used as a way to identify themselves to customers and colleagues, even before introducing themselves.

Alongside the pin, there are the badges, larger and more eye-catching, used mainly at brand events. But in daily routines it is the small metal accessory that has a fixed place on lapels, from management to interns. It has already had dozens of versions: it evolved as the company logo also evolved. And it continues to evolve: as long as there are proud deltinhas, there will certainly be pins on their lapels.
